LDE Chicago Annual Post-Holiday Celebration

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to this year’s annual Holiday Celebration.  Since this is the season of giving, and we all know that the amazing women in this organization give more than their share in every aspect, we are shaking things up a bit this year.   We’d like you all to bring your lovely selves, a hearty appetite, your best conversational skills, and all of your holiday spirit and leave the rest to us!  Food and drink and some special surprises will all be provided.

The one thing we will ask you to bring is a book.  A book you love personally, that has been meaningful to you. It can be a novel, a book of poetry, a cookbook, a memoir, even a children’s book.  You can bring a used personal copy from your own library, or a new copy that you have purchased.  Please write a short note about why you have chosen this particular book, and be sure to sign the note with your name (and your email address if you have one) and tuck the note into the front cover of the book.  Wrap it festively, and bring it along.  We will be doing a secret book swap at the party, so for the book you bring, you’ll get one as a gift!

This is a great event to bring a prospective member to, and as always spouses and partners are welcome.
