Food Photography with Your iPhone

IMG_2390Want to take better food photos to further your business endeavors?  Then this workshop is for you!  Whether it is content for your social media or webpage, pictures to accompany an article you are writing, or the proposal for your cookbook, this workshop with professional photographer, Huge Galdones, will help you get a handle on how to use your phone to its best photographic advantage. The workshop will include tips and tricks for food styling from Dame Shannon Kinsella, and some tips on how to choose the right vessel with support from our co-presenters, Front of the House.  Because of the hands-on intensive nature of this program, attendance is capped at 15.

Huge Galdones is a Chicago based photographer who specializes in all aspects of culinary photography, from shots of chefs in action to photography for some of today’s hottest cookbooks from chefs like Bill Kim and Stephanie Izard, as well as Dame Chandra Ram’s recent The Complete Indian Instant Pot Cookbook.

Dame Shannon Kinsella is a chef and cookbook author who is currently the Test Kitchen Manager and Food Stylist for the Chicago Tribune.

This event will take place at Galdones Photography Studio, which is on the top floor, so plan on climbing some stairs, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes.

Tickets: Available at Cost is $75 for members and $100 for non-members. Price includes snacks and non-alcoholic beverage. Registration closes at noon on Friday, Sept. 6.
