A Festival of Favorites For All Dames

An in-person event open to all members 

Come learn about each others’ favorite books, pastimes, foods, and hear about favorite books of the Dames who Read book club as they celebrate their 50th book!

When: Tuesday, March 5th, 6 pm

Where: Katherine Anne Confections, 3653 W. Irving Park Road. (street parking).

Tickets: $42.10 per person

What to expect:

-Each member will give a one-minute highlight of their work, interests and a favorite book, food, movie, band or hobby – sky’s the limit! (But we will have a time limit to keep things moving).

-Judith Dunbar-Hines and Shannon Kinsella, creators of the long-standing Dames Who Read book club, will share highlights of their own favorite books and get-togethers over the past 10 years.

– Enjoy a buffet of small bites based on the 50th book selection, National Dish: Around the World in Search of Food, History and Meaning of Home by Anya Von Bremen

– Anyone interested in a book swap is welcome to bring a favorite book inscribed with a quick review and your name, and in exchange, take a book that interests you.
