Ice Sculpting 101

Ever wonder how those beautiful ice sculptures are made? Ever wanted to try it yourself?

Join us on March 19 for a very unique Les Dame experience – Ice Sculpting 101. The event is open to all and will be taught by Chef Michael McGreal on site at Joliet Junior College. Chef Michael is an accomplished carver and culinary department chair at JJC.

We’ll learn the safe operation of all tools, techniques for sculpting ice and will actually create a beautiful 3-D sculpture from 150 pounds of clear ice. Class size is limited to eight. A fee of $200/person will include clear carving blocks and all the tools you need to create your masterpiece as well as gratuity for our instructor.

We’ll learn tool safety and operation, how to produce crystal clear ice, how to create positive and negative space in ice while producing a 3-D design.

The class is scheduled for Thursday, March 19th from 12-3 pm. Sign up soon. With only eight spots available, you don’t want to miss out!
